In the spring of 2001 Indigo was born out of owner Alex Curtis’s frustration. 

“ Whilst putting together the finishing touches to a house we were renovating I became aware of a gap in the market for unusual, good quality pieces for the home and garden.” recalls Alex.

Not one to let the grass grow under her feet within a week the plans were drawn up and Indigo was in business.
Over the past 8 years the business has grown considerably but Indigo still holds firm the belief that inspirational design doesn’t need to cost the earth. Indigo has three stores in the North of England and still exhibits at around 12 major events each year.

Today our range is sourced globally including pieces from India, Scandinavia, France, Turkey, Hungary and Iran to name but a few. The range is carefully selected to give an individual style that is eye-catching but unfussy and more importantly can be mixed and matched with other styles be it shabby chic, bohemian or even a more contemporary look.
